Own Art

 

Own Art is a national initiative that makes buying contemporary art and craft affordable by providing interest-free credit for the purchase of original work.

The scheme reduces the financial barriers and perceptions of elitism that commonly exist within the art market, by making it easier and more affordable for people to purchase and enjoy original art and craft, regardless of their income and socio-economic background.

Since 2004, the scheme has enabled more than 60,000 customers to get access to the art they love. Delivered through a network of over 330 galleries across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, Own Art has so far supported £56 million of sales of contemporary art and craft to UK customers.

At Tamarisk, we are proud to be an Own Art member gallery. You can purchase art from us via the Own Art scheme either in the gallery or online.

If you would like to take advantage of the Own Art scheme when purchasing online, please use the code 'OWNART10' at the checkout. Please note that this code is not a discount but will allow you to reserve the artwork for a 10% deposit whilst we get you registered with Own Art. To qualify, please ensure that your basket contains original artwork between the value of £100-£2,500. Reproduction artwork such as Giclée prints do not qualify for this scheme but original prints such as monotypes and other disciplines such as jewellery and sculpture do qualify.

Once you have submitted the sale with the Own Art code, you will be charged a deposit of 10% to hold the artwork. In time, you will be sent an email with instructions of how to complete the sale using the Own Art scheme. Once this is successful, you will pay the remaining amount in interest-free instalments over a ten-month period. Please do contact us if you would like more information.
